Dear Mel:
I want to thank you for a wonderful cruise. I enjoyed
every minute of it. I wish I had gone before, when I was in better health - but we can't have
everything.
The best part of the whole trip was meeting you - you are a
wonderful person & a joy to be around.
... and the results were outstanding!
I hope our paths will cross again sometime.
If you ever need folk dance teachers I know a fabulous
couple, Odie & Manuel Gomez.
Best of everything for you,
Jeff

Los Gatos
Dear Paula and Mel,
Thanks so much for the pictures - we will add them to our scrapbook and enjoy them every
time we look back at our Folk Dance cruise.
Paula, did you ever finish the chart of the group picture, with all the names on the heads? If
you ever do, we would really like to have a copy. We have the list of those who sailed, but
putting the names and faces together is getting harder every day.
Mel, it was a great trip in every way - you are a superlative arranger. BUT, please don't plan
another 'wonderful' folk dance cruise to a place that we just have to go' for at least 3 or 4 years.
We positively can't manage one every single year.
Many thanks,
Marianne & Bert

Dear Paula and Mel,
Many thanks for the snapshots! We here in this area have
had an orgy exchanging pictures -- we all feel "the more the better". In fact, Betty & Bob
__ (from your cruise last year) were over & showed us 2 videos from their trip and we viewed
each other's snapshots -- getting very excited when we recognized the places we had visited
in each other's pictures.
Our memories are very vivid and happy and we spent a
delightful evening re-living it. Jean __ was over too. I have to tell you that both she
and her sister in-law, Paula, have signed up for beginning folk-dancing lessons -- so I
think we have 2 prospective addicts like us.
I'm enclosing a copy of the picture I couldn't resist taking at the airport. I'm glad
that Mel is better. I think he should give up "Maria's Wedding".
I don't think I know anything about the festival here in November -- we'll probably hear
about it at our class -- and if I can --I will certainly hope to attend. I'd love to see you
both.
Right now they are talking about Hurricane Hugo -- and the
possibility of hitting the Bahamas. Ironic that these things happen in the areas we like to
cruise to! Hope they'll come through it OK!
Have a happy new year -- and good health in the coming year!
Sincerely,
Esther
